LAUNCH OF THE 15+ AND 30 kW FLEXITUNE'S (January 2001)

Now the higher power rating models are available the diversity of applications the Flexitune power supplies can handle is even greater. In particular small melting applications for precious metals and laboratories, and metal forming applications are ideal processes for these equipments. The compact nature of the 15+ and 30 kW equipments provides an additional bonus for old RF oscillator equipments because not only will the chosen Flexitune power supply easily take care of the application it will take up a much smaller footprint. Two further derivation models are available at 10+ and 20 kW with an operating frequency capability from 60-110 kHz. In addition Flexitune now comes with our entirely new control system offering comprehensive processing, diagnostics and matching information with all the data displayed on a VFD (Vacuum Fluorescent Display) screen.

FLEXITUNE® INDUCTION POWER SUPPLIES ARE A GREAT SUCCESS! (November 2000)

Since the launch of the new Flexitune range of power supplies Radyne has secured significant orders in multiple countries since March 2000. Some of our customers are already discussing multiple orders and the list of applications is continuing to grow. The first public appearance of the Flexitune 10 was in March 2000 at an exhibition in the UK, a few weeks later it appeared again at an exhibition in Germany. From these early demonstrations it was obvious that the unit could impress. Since April the Flexitune has also appeared at other exhibitions in the USA and Europe.

The Flexitune is an ideal replacement for equivalent RF valve oscillators and yes the picture of the two 10 kW equivalent units together really is genuine. Just think how much space and money you could save, no more costly valve replacements and a unit that's not only compact but portable too.

The number of models in the range has continued to grow. Customer demand has led development, Radyne really are producing what you our customers need to get your production problems solved. In many instances with Flexitune power supplies you will be able to use your existing coils that were used with alternative induction heaters incorporating previous technology.
